Light

There once was a Newfie construction crew that had not been able to get any vacation time from their boss in 2 years. They had begged and pleaded, but the boss just said he couldn't afford to let them have even 1 week off. Finally, one Newf came up with an idea for himself. Climbing up to the top of a house 'skeleton' he proceeded to throw a rope over a main beam and swing back and forth on it. The foreman walking underneath looked up and yelled,

"What hell do you think you are doing?"

"I'm a light", replied the Newf "I haven't had a vacation for so long I'm starting to think I'm a light!"

"For the love of ......you'd better take a couple of weeks off and get yourself straighten out!" shouted the boss. With that remark, the Newf climbed down from the rafters and started to leave the construction site. The foreman turned around to watch him leave and noticed all the other workers started following him.

"HEY!" he yelled, "just where the hell do you characters think you are going?"

"Well," cried one of the workers, "if you think we're gonna work in the DARK."
