In keeping with the trend of annual themes to spotlight the various aspects of Air Force life, the following is presented as a suggestion regarding next year's theme.

You know, last year was the Year of The Enlisted Force (YOTEF), and this year's focus is of a domestic nature, with the Year of The Family (YOFAM).

Next year's emphasis will be on our aircraft maintenance personnel, without whom we would just have billions of dollars invested in static displays.

In recognition of the maintenance community's contribution to the accomplishment of the Air Force mission, we introduce this initiative to have the year 2002 designated the Year of Military Aircraft Maintenance Activities, or YOMAMA.

Show your support by using the YOMAMA theme in your correspondence and conversations. Similar to the Marine Corps'" Semper Fi," soon aircraft maintenance people throughout the Air Force will be greeting each other with resounding cries of "YOMAMA!!"

With your support and participation, it will be a year to remember.
