Checking the event logs

The main point of this exercise is to look for anything that my be out of the ordinary. It is very common for the Application and System logs to have errors. The fact that errors and warnings exist is not usually a problem, the nature of the errors may be an issue.

Quick steps to open the Windows Event Log Viewer:

1.	Click Start

2.	Right-click on My Computer

3.	Choose Manage

4.	Select the Event Viewer branch

Alternate method to open the log viewer

Type this into the RUN line

eventvwr.msc /s
