A good habit to get into, it to delete the recycle bin prior to starting any work with a system. That way you know that the only contents in there are a result of the work that you do.
Be sure that you empty the recycle bin before turning the computer back over to the users.
Note: If a Norton program is installed, the a Norton Protected Files area probably exists. After you empty the Recycle Bin, right-click the Recycle Bin icon and click the Empty Norton Protected Files. |
Tip: You can bypass sending deleted files to the Recycle Bin buy holding down the Shift key then hitting delete. This will speed up the delete process if you are deleting a large number of files. Keep in mind that by doing this, you will not have the ability to restore the file if something goes wrong. |
