Device Manager

Ensure that there are no device errors using Device Manager.

Quick steps to open Device Manager:

1.Click Start
2.Right-click on My Computer
3.Choose properties
4.Select the Hardware tab
5.Click the Device Manager button

 

- OR -

 

1.Click Start
2.Right-click on My Computer
3.Choose Manage
4.Select the Device Manager branch

Look at the Windows Event Logs to see if errors are being logged.

1.Click Start
2.Right-click on My Computer
3.Choose Manage
4.Select the Event Viewer branch
