System Cleanup

Performing these checks can often point to other areas that may require attention.

 

 

Run CCleaner {Cleaner function) (highly recommended)

Quick steps to run CCleaner:

1.Close all browsers.
2.Run the program
3.Make sure all the boxes are ticked under the Windows and Applications tabs, including "Advanced" tabs
4.Click the "Run Cleaner" button.
5.Do this at least twice.

Run Advanced SystemCare (highly recommended)

 

 

Run Anti-Malware (highly recommended)

 

 

Run SUPERAntiSpyware (highly recommended)

 

 

Run CWShreader (optional)

This should no longer be necessary

Check for Updates.
Run the program and let it fix anything that it finds.

Run SpyBot S&D (optional)

This should no longer be necessary

Check for Updates.
Run the test.
Uncheck BPS items if Bulletproof is installed.
Fix all items found.
Reboot system (Safe mode will be fine for the next Ad-Aware tests).

Run Ad-Aware (optional)

This should no longer be necessary

Safe Mode works well if the system is suspected of being heavily infested.
Check for Updates.
Ad-Aware has some very powerful features in the tweaks section.  Be sure to select Custom when scanning.
Let it quarantine any items found.
Reboot the system.

Run Norton Win Doctor (optional)

After all the work done above, this is a great tool to clean up any of the extras that may not have been cleaned up properly. It can reduce the amount of extra trash left in the Registry.
