One of the most important steps in system maintenance is the finalization stage. This is where the computer is put back into operating mode for the user. Of all the work that is done to the system, this is where you put it back to how they will see it.
| • | Remove any utility programs that you may have temporarily installed. |
| • | Return the screen resolution to its original settings. |
| • | Return the file browsing settings to their original permissions. |
| • | Delete any shares that you may have created for maintenance. |
| • | Delete any users accounts that you may have created for maintenance. |
| • | Re-enable System Restore. |
