Edward Grinstead

Edward was killed in an airplane crash not long after high school. I hear it was his plane and he was flying it. Edward was always the first to get stuff. He got stuff intellectually and he always got a lot of material things, too. He was the first to have something drivable. He got a golf cart when we were just about 14 or 15... before we could have cars. He drove us all around everywhere and always shared his cool stuff. I think I 'went steady' with him for a short time, but mostly he was my friend. I will remember Edward as a bright, kind and generous person. Angie Griffin

One of my finest memories is of Edward. A couple of years ago I was down in Houston visiting my family and my younger sister was dating Chip Theiss and I asked about Edward and he told me the horrible news. He was such a "beautiful" guy and I loved him and his Trans Am (haha) madly! He definitely made me feel like I was turning into a woman at that time and always the gentleman. I still don't know what he saw in me, you know, the ole redneck but he will always have a special place in my heart just for him! Cindy Rachac Friedrichs
