Andrew Mascolo, class of 1980, died tragically on June 15, 1992. On behalf of those who knew Andrew well, we acknowledge his brief time on our Earth and extend our prayers to his family. Our youthful days were fortified by Andrew's presence. And while the good in Andrew's heart was tempered by a veritable fire of independence and notoriety, we who knew him miss his comradeship and adventurous nature. Andrew made growing up a much more interesting experience. Rest in peace, Dude! Mike Huard (KHS Class of 1979)
I learned of Andy's death, when I was trying to contact him because I had lost touch. My heart became so heavy and has been ever since I learned. For those of you who remember, Andy's birthday falls on April 1st and mine on April 5. For a few years in a row, he and I celebrated our birthday's at Spring Creek Park with kegs of beer and my Mom's Venison Chili. People would just show up from all over. I was fortunate enough to know Andy and the Mascolo family and am upset with myself for losing touch. My deepest sympathy to them. Andy was truly a remarkable human being and I wish I kept in touch. To this day, I think of Andy often. I have a stuffed animal he gave me because he said the eyes reminded him of my eyes (Blue). I have that stuffed animal on my bed and will never part with it. Andy, you will never be forgotten. Ann Koziol
